A new take on homework
In my role this year I want to change the way we look at homework, to create something that not only engages the students but also fills any gaps in learning. It should be something that contributes to a child's learning over time...
So I turned to Twitter and asked for some help.
I was sent this brilliant blog post by Skegness GS T&L: http://sgsleadinglearning.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/have-one-purpose-that-homework-should.html
Then this by @DIRT_expert & @mathsjem http://www.resourceaholic.com/p/homework.html
I really fell for the PRET idea - In Pret homeworks, students practise, recall, extend and think. It seems to cover the principles of what I wanted to do. So I created two - a KS3 cells on and a KS5 Chemistry OCR Atoms one.
