Foldables

Picture
I have recently seen loads of great examples of foldables on Twitter, so I decided to have a go myself. I have a C/D GCSE set who often struggle with taking their own notes, bit love posters - this seemed like a good cross-over between the two. And, if I can copy them onto a number of different colours of card, it should persuade even the pickiest amongst them to have a go.

So I set to trying one - well trying to write the outline of one as this would be their first go at it. Next up in my teaching scheme is metal extraction and the reactivity series, it seemed to lend itself quite well to a foldable...

And the finished result can be seen on the right. I hope that I have given enough information and prompts to support them, while also leaving it open enough for them to be more independent.

There will also be levelled LI's with the lesson, so the class can see what is needed for the D/C/B grades.

Feedback on the foldable is welcome.

Will report back with how it goes...
