Research poster guidelines
All too often when we set students a poster as work we get something back that is a copy, paste fest... Containing little useful information.
I have taken some images of thesis posters and guidelines used by universities to guide students through the creation of these posters and simplified them down to be appropriate to the work I am doing with the students.
My students will get the guidelines (left) and a set of learning outcomes that their poster must cover (below.) They then have 3 hours to complete the work, including research time. I am hopeful that this will reduce the time spent on "making it look pretty!" And guide students clearly to the content and clear layout that is needed...
A pdf of the guidelines is available in my dropbox, follow me and send a message for the link.
